Limited edition Giant lens cloth by Ray Richardson.
About Ray Richardson.
Ray Richardson is a visionary artist from SE London, a city that is not only his home but represents the foundation to his award-winning work.
Richardson studied at two of London’s most iconic art schools; St Martins School of Art and he graduated from Goldsmith’s College in 1987 (at the same time as Damien Hirst).
His work has a raw and honest narrative – with the influence of cinema, music, books and growing up in London during the 70’s playing a significant part. Another key influence is Bull Terriers – a breed he fell in love with after watching Oliver! as a child. He also has his own, Brian – his muse and the inspiration for his painting – YE OLDE ENGLISH, a painting that is owned by the great American writer James Ellroy and features on our lens cloth collaboration.
The giant lenscloth measures 30cm x 30cm and has a wonderful sheen. It comes in a craft envelope - a perfect gift.
Ray has a one man show at Zedes Art Gallery Brussels and Beaux Arts in London in September 2018 as well as a group show alongside David Hockney, Frank Auerbach and Walter Sickert among others called 'The Poetry of the Real' which opens there at the end of November 2017 & continues until March 2018 – so check it out!
