Optical trade press is a great barometer of the industry and it is exciting to see many of the magazines and blogs moving towards a more fashion based approach.
After years of safe [dull] design in eye-wear, colour is making a massive impact in the eye-wear market. It is also noticeable that much of the fashion press is finally showing an interest, blurring the line between optics and fashion.
On the Kirk & Kirk stand at the Silmo trade fair in Paris last week, we not only had attention from the optical trade press but we were delighted to chat with fashion journalists from Japan, Russia and Italy amongst other places.
