Montreal to Toronto by Viarail

A day here and a day there, each one crammed with as many appointments as you can shake a stick at.

After three great days enjoying the cosmopolitan architecture and character of Montreal, I am on the ViaRail train from Montreal to Toronto.

Five hours of relative calm, traversing endless forests and lakes, punctuated only by the occasional farm house or quaintly-named, remote railway station that appears to serve a population of seven.

Seems like a great time to crack open the soundtrack of my youth……..Thomas Dolby, Edwyn Collins, Nick Heyward………….and relax.
