Silmo favourites

Show season is finally winding down.

rn

We love a little travel and it is a good job really. Over the last six weeks we have exhibited in Paris, Milan, Zurich and Stuttgart with trips to Sweden, Spain, Holland, Morocco and the USA all lined up before the holiday season

rn

Silmo in Paris is an amazing show. It is the place where Kirk & Kirk, amongst others, launch new collections and, as such, a source of great inspiration. It is also the one time when we get to discover some great creations by other companies.

Here are a few of our favourites:

rn

Niloca: From Melbourne, Australia, Colin and Josie bring a fresh new approach to eyewear and we love their treatment of acetate.

Peter Coombs is also from Australia and has been designing eyewear for many years. He creates beautiful, intricate pieces in very limited editions. Check out his work at

Luacs De Stael won a Silmo D’Or this year with this beautiful frame that is made from a combination of leather and stone. Congratulations on a well-deserved award!
